MY VACCINE PASS EVENT

Hosting an event under the new Orange Level Covid-19 Protection Framework, as set out by our governing body and mandated in law by the New Zealand government. Please see below a list of what you need to know for Saturday 11th December

Firstly, We ask that if you are

  • unwell
  • have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected Covid case
  • been at a location of interest

to please stay home.
The Covid vaccination - All spectators over the age of 12 years 3 months entering the venue will be required to produce your Covid Vaccination Certificate (aka CVC or My Vaccine Pass) to show that you are double vaccinated. Your CVC will be checked prior to entry by security or Kihikihi Speedway staff
Exemptions are To Be Advised but at this stage, no CVC no entry and there are no exceptions to this rule. For more information, please consult https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-vaccines/my-covid-record-proof-vaccination-status/covid-19-vaccine-exemptions-and-certificates
We will ask to sight your CVC and we may scan the QR code on your My Vaccine Pass with the NZ Pass Verifier app. This app will confirm your vaccination status for us. You may also be asked to show ID. It will not store your data or show any information other than your name and date of birth
We cannot accept a purple vaccination card or vaccination confirmation letter as proof of your  double vaccination status
For Volunteers, Staff, Crew Members & Drivers - As per the government’s framework, all staff and drivers must provide proof of (at the least) their first Covid jab before entering. From January 17th 2022, a full CVC is also required
Please note, a Negative Test does not replace proof of vaccination
Within the vaccination rules of entry as set out in the above statements, travelling is permitted between Red and Orange Level districts for all drivers, crew and spectators alike
Food vendors will be back on site and as usual, you may bring your own food and beverages if you wish
In the arena when seated or walking around, masks are recommended but not mandatory and Social Distancing is not required. However, masks must be worn in busy areas such as the main entry gate, toilets and around the tower. Also, Social Distancing of at least 1m from other people within these high foot traffic areas must be maintained at all times. These restrictions apply to all drivers, crew, officials and spectators alike
